Proposal #3

As everyone knows project #3 has a take action component. I have been thinking of what I would like to do in terms of getting the community involved, but so far I really do not know what I want to do. My topic is centered on gender issues in sports. My first project was an “ask Kathryn” article about issues in youth sports and my second project was a history of the beginning of women’s sports with key role models in the fight for equality in women’s sports. Below is a very rough proposal of project three.

Topic: Gender inequality in sports. This will focus on the history of title IX and how schools are still struggling to comply with this law.

Writer: After all the research about women and sports that I have done I have made an opinion on the issues at hand and want other people to understand where I stand as a college student majoring in sports administration because it directly affects me and my employment opportunities

I have left genre and audience blank because I would like opinions on which audience I should focus writing this paper too and how should I get my point and opinions across to that audience.

Another question that I have is how should I get the community involved? What types of “take action” methods would be good for this type of issue?
